A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTE HELD APRIL t4, 1970
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows:
WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in the City of Saratoga
on Tuesday, the 14th day of April, 1970 and was conducted in form and manner
as required by the laws of the State of California governing the election of
General Law Cities, now therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND DECLAItED as follows:
That in Precinct "1" being consolidation of Precints 4729, 4712, 4696 and
4702; Precinct "2" being consolidation of Precincts 4718 and 4724; and Precinct "3"
being consolidation of Precincts 4710 and 4686;; Precinct "4" being consolidation
of Precincts 4677, 4678, and 4679; Precinct "5" being consolidation of Precincts
4682 and 4684; Precinct "6" being consolidation of Precincts 4690, 4711 and 4713;
Precinct "7" being consolidation of Precincts 4692, 4694, 4723; Precinct "8" being
consolidation of Precincts 4691, 4693, and 4706; Precinct "9" being consolidation
of Precincts 4689, 4697, 4714 and 4727; Precinct "1~' being consolidation of
Precincts 4688, 4689 and 4726; and Precinct "11" being consolidation of Precincts
4717 and 4785, as established for'holding State and' County elections:
The whole number of persons voted for was 3; the whole number of votes
cast was 4058, including 24 absentee ballots; that the names of the persons voted
for, the offices for which they were voted, and the number of votes received by
each of said persons in each of said precincts, together with the absentee votes,
together with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire City are
as set forth in the attached Exhibit "A".
RESOLVED, therefore that at the said general municipal election held in
the City of Saratoga, April 14, 1970, the following persons were elected to the
following offices respectively:
Robert H. Dwler
James C. Sanders
Colman M. "CO!.~" Br~.d~es
each elected a member of the City Council for the full term of four years.
RESOLVED FURTHER: That the City Clerk shall enter upon the record of
the Council the results of said General Municipal Election and shall deliver
to each person elected a certificate of election duly signed and authenticated
by him and he shall impose the constitutional oath and have them subscribe thereon,
whereupon they shall be inducted to the respective offices to which they have been
elected.
