HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 534 CZT¥ OF SARA?OGA RESOLUTION NO. 534 RESOLUTION CONFIRMING CANVASS BY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION WHEREAS, the Board of Suoervisors of Santa Clara County has duly canvassed or caused to be canvassed the votes cast in the City of Saratoga (hereinafter called the "City") at the special munlcioal bond election consolidated with the State of California Direct Primary Election held on June 2, 1970, in the City, by the electors of the City upon the meas- ure herelnafter set forth, and has certified to this City Council the result of the votes cast at said election upon said measure, which said certification is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of SaratoMa as follows: 1. Said canvass by said Board of Supervisors as shown by seid certification and the result of said election is hereby ratified, confirmed and amproved, and the City Clerk of the City is hereby directed to enter this resolution on the minutes of the City Council as a statement of the result of said election. 2. At said election the foliowinE measure for incurring bonded indebtedness was submitted to the electors of the City and the number of votes cast in the City for and against said measure was as follows: Total Total Vote Vote "YES" "NO" MEASURE (M): Shall the City of UNeighb6rhood Saratoga incur a Park Facilities) bonded indebtedness in the principal amount of $880,000 for the acquisition, construction and completion of the fol- lowing municipal improvement, to wit: Neighborhood park facilities, includi~M acquisition of land for neighborhood park sites and preservation of open spaces and the development of neighbor- hood park sites by Erading, landscaping and installation of recreational facil- ities and furnishings; and other works, property or structures necessary or con- venient for neighborhood park facilities for the City of Saratoga? 4B_~96 ~,166 3. The total number of votes cast in the City at said special municipal bond election and the total number of votes given in each precinct and by absentee voters of the City for and against said measure was and is set forth in said canvass by said Board of Supervisors. 4. less than 2/3 of all of the votes cast at said special municipal bond election on said measure were in favor of said measure and said measure "M" - PASSED AND ADOPTED this Lsi__ day of .r.ty , 1970~ by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Robbins, Dwyer, Sanders, Smith, Bridges NOES: None ABSENT: None Mayor of the City of Saratoga, California Attest: City
