A RESOLUTION CONFIRMING AMENDED ASSESSMENT
VERDE VISTA IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
CITY OF SARATOGA
ASSESSMENT N0.9
RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saratoga,
Santa Clara County, California, that
WHEREAS, said Council did on the 6th day of May, 1970,
adopt its resolution ordering the Director of Public Works to
make and file with said Council an amended assessment of all
parcels of property the former assessment on which, under Reso-
lution of Intention No. 344 adopted by said Council on October 19
1966, are designated upon the original assessment and diagram
and confirmed by said Council on August 7, 1968, and recorded
in the office of the Superintendent of Streets, as Diagram and
Assessment No. 9;
WHEREAS, said Director of Public Works did, on the 6th day
of May, 1970, p~rSuan~ to resolution ordering same, file with the
City Clerk an amended assessment and diagram~
WHEREAS, said Council fixed Wednesday, the 3rd day of
June, 1970, as the time for hearing said amended assessment and
caused notice of said hearing to be published twice in the
Saratoga News, the first publication being fifteen (15) days j
before said hearing, as appears from the affidavit on file in the
office of the City Clerk of said City; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said hearing, no
protests or objections were made or presented to the proposed
amended assessment, and all matters and things pertaining to
said amended assessment were duly heard and considered by said
Couucil;
NOW, THERE'~DRE, IT IS ORDERED, that said amended assessment!
and diagram filed with the City Clerk of said City pursuant to
resolution ordering same, be, and the same is hereby, ratified,
approved and confirmed.
IT IS FURTHER ORDERED, that the City Clerk of said City
shall deliver said amended assessment to the Superintendent of
Streets, together with a certified copy of this resolution thereto
attached, and said Superintendent of Streets shall thereupon
record such amended assessment in his office with a certificate
at the end thereof by the City Clerk of said City that it is
the amended assessment approved by the said Council on June 3,
1970.
The Superintendent of Streets shall note opposite the
several assessments in said original Diagram and Assessment that
it has been displaced by said amended assessment, giving its
date, and shall credit upon such amended assessments all payments
theretofore made upon such original assessment. 'When said
amended assessment has been recorded, the Superintendent of
Streets shall cause theoriginal assessment involved to be can-
celled.
The City Clerk shall file the amended assessment as con-
firmed or modified by the City Council with the County Auditor,
who shall annually thereafter enter upon the assessment roll the
installments becoming due on each component part of the original
parcel opposite the description of the respective parcels so
assessed.
I hereby certify that the foregoing is a full, true and
correct copy of Resolution duly passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Saratoga, California, at a meeting
thereof held on the day of , 19 ,
