HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 555 RESOLUTION NO. 555 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, CITY OF SARATOGA EXPRESSING THE CITY'S OPPOSITION TO THE APPLICATION OF THE IDEA OF EQUIVALENCIES TO PERMIT BAY FILL FOR NON-PRIORITY USES WHEREAS, the Bay Conservation and Development Commission has held an initial public hearing concerning the application of a rule of equivalencies in permitting Bay fill for non-priority uses;'and WHEREAS, it is our belief that any move toward permitting or encouraging non-priority uses on Bay fill will weaken the entire Bay Conservation Program, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby express its opposition to the idea of equivalencies; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Bay Conservation and Development Commission is urged to reject any change in the Bay plan which will thus weaken the protection of the Bay from non-priority uses. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga>at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of January ........ , 1971, by the following vote: AYES: CouncjlrTTe.
