RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING A PARADE THROUGH CERTAIN
PORTIONS OF SARATOGA ON APRIL 8, 1972
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga has been requested to authorize a parade
sponsored by the Campus Crusade for Christ; and
WHEREAS, certain portions of this march will be conducted on State
Highways in the City of Saratoga.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Saratoga grants permission
for the Campus Crusade for Christ to conduct a walking parade on April 8, 1972, in
certain portions of Saratoga, to wit: commencing at 10:00 A.M. at Saratoga
High School, thence south on State Highway 85 to State Highway 9, thence east
on State Highway 9 to the easterly city limits. Said parade to be conducted
without disrupting vehicular traffic and in compliance with all applicable
laws, ordinances, regulations, and in full cooperation with the Santa Clara
County Sheriffs Office.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that this resolution is enacted in accordance
with an agreement between the City of Saratoga and the State Division of
Highways, State of California, and city approval is contingent upon approval
by Division of Highways.
The above and foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and there-
after passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City
of Saratoga held on the 5th day of April, 1972, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Robbins, Smith, Dwyer, Bridges, Kraus
NOES: None
