RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ABANDON
DARIEN WAY
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves
as follows:
Section 1: Pursuant to Part 3 of Division 9 of the Streets
and Highways Code of the State of California,
the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby declares its in-
tention to order the vacation and abandonment of Darien Way,
more particularly described as follows:
That certain street known as Darien Way, located
between Cox Avenue and Brockton Lane in the City
of Saratoga, County of Santa Clara, State of
California, as said street is shown and delineated
on that certain Map of Tract No. 2876 recorded on
November 20, 1962 in Book 154 of Maps at Page 40,
Santa Clara County Official Records, and which
street is more particularly described on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and incorporated he~ein by
reference.
Section 2: The 6th day of September , 1972., at the
hour of 8:00 o'clock p.m., at the Council Chambers
of the City Council, City Hall, Fruitvale Avenue, Saratoga, California,
is hereby fixed as the time and place for hearing all persons interested
in or objecting to the proposed vacation and abandonment above set forth.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the
2nd day of August , 1972, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Smith, Dwyer, Bridges, Diridon and Kraus

EXHIBIT "A"
Beginning at a point that is north 0° 06' 47" east 31.84 feet
from the southeasterly corner of that certain Tract 2876, Prides
Crossing Addition, as recorded on November 20, 1962 in Book 154
of Maps at Page 40, Santa Clara County Official Records. Said
southeasterly corner also lying on the center line of Cox Avenue.
THENCE, from the above described point of beginning running
along the easterly boundary of Tract 2876, north 0° 06' 47" east
128.26 feet.
TMENCE, leaving said easterly tract boundary, running north
86° 27' 48" west, 58.91 feet to a point which is the beginning of
a curve to the left. Said curve lying concave to the southwest
and having a radius of 20 feet.
THENCE, running along said curve through a central angle of
86° 34' 35" for an arc length of 30.22 feet to a point of tengency.
THENCE, running south 0° 06' 47" west 88.16 feet to a point
which is the beginning of curve a curve to the right. Said curve
lying concave to the northwest and having a radius of 20 feet.
THENCE, running along said curve, through a central angle of
93° 25' 25", for an arc length of 32.61 feet to a point on the
northerly right-of-way line of Cox Avenue.
THENCE, running south 86° 26' 00" east 61.30 feet to the point
of beginning.
Be and the same.is hereby vacated and abandoned, save and ex-
cept that there is retained (and not abandoned) a Public Service
Easement on the above described property.
