RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FILING OF
REPORT AND APPLICATION TO THE RE-
SOURCE AGENCY OF CALIFORNIA FOR
REIMBURSEMENT UNDER OPEN-SPACE
SUBVENTION ACT
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga is desirous of preserving
open-space lands within the City Limits for the enjoyment of its
citizens; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga in order to implement preserva-
tion of said lands has adopted an Interim Open-Space Plan including goals
and policies effective until June 30, 1973; and
WHEREAS, said goals and policies will be used by the City of
Saratoga in preparation and adoption of a permanent Open-Space Plan by
June 30, 1973; and
WHEREAS, it is the City of Saratoga intention to obtain State
of California Subvention Funds in accord with the Open-Space Subvention
Act for the preservation of said Open-Space land through the Williamson
Act;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Saratoga as follows:
Section i: All the lands under Williamson Contracts as
Open-Space lands within the City Limits and
contained in the application-report are deter-
mined by the City Council to be "Prime Agricul-
tural Land" within the City of Saratoga.
Section 2: The City Manager or his designated representative
is authorized to file the Report and Application
including all required materials to the Resource
Agency of California for reimbursement under the
Open-Space Subvention Act.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the lot
day of November , 1972, by the following vote:
