A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING THE
SARATOGA FIRE DISTRICT "HOSE CART CREW"
WHEREAS, Bill Morrison, Chip White, Brad McMullin, Bob Smith and Rich Irwin
compose the Saratoga Fire District's "Hose Cart Crew"; and
WHEREAS, said "Hose Cart Crew" was awarded a second place trophy for the
best restored hose cart at the Fireman's Muster at Suisan on June 17, 1973; and
W~EREAS, said '~ose Cart Crew" lopped 12 seconds off its time in the hose
race from its showing at the Fireman's Muster at Columbia on June 1, 1973; and
WHEREAS, said '~ose Cart Crew" is within a mere 7 seconds of breaking the
California record, and with a little more practice it appears there will not be a
crew in the State that can approach its competence;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saratoga
does hereby commend the Saratoga Fire District's "Hose Cart Crew" for its exploits
and for its dedication and pursuit of excellence, and for the notoriety and acclaim
it brings, not only to the Fire District, but also to the Saratoga Community.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council
of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 3rd day of July, 1973, by
the following vote:
