HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 685 RESOLUTION NO. 685 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTE HELD MARCH 5, 1974 The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows: WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in the City of Saratoga on Tuesday, the 5th day of March 1974 and was conducted in form and manner as required by the laws of the State of California governing the election of General Law Cities, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, DETERMINED AND DECLARED as follows: That in Precinct "1" being consolidation of Precincts 4702 and 4696; Precinct "2" being consolidation of Precincts 4680, 4699, 4718 and 4724; Precinct "3" being consolidation of Precincts 4683, 4686, and 4710; Precinct "4" being consolidation of Precincts 4677, 4678, and 4679; Precinct "5" being consolidation of Precincts 4681, 4682, 4684, and 4711; Precinct "6" being consolidation of Precincts 4685, 4690, 4703, and 4713; Precinct "7" being consolidation of Precincts 4692, 4694, 4701, and 4723; Precinct "8" being consolidation of Precincts 4691, 4693, and 4706; Precinct "9" being consolidation of Precincts 4689, 4714, 4715, and 4727; Precinct "10" being consolidation of Precincts 4687, 4688, and 4726; Precinct "11" being consolidation of Precincts 4695, 4717, and 4725; and Precinct "12" being a consolidation of Precincts 4697, 4698, 4712, and 4729, as established for holding State and County elections; The whole number of persons voted for was 3, the whole number of votes cast was 3~06~ including Absentee ballots; that the names of the persons voted for, the offices for which they were voted, and the number of votes received by each of said persons in each of said precincts, together with the absentee votes, together with the whole number of votes which they received in the entire City are as~set forth in the attached Exhibit "A". RESOLVED, therefore that at the said general municipal election held in the City of Saratoga, March 5, 1974, the following persons were elected to the following offices respectively: Colman Bridges Henry J. Kraus, Jr. John A. Brigham, Jr. Each elected a member of the City Council for the full term of four years. RESOLVED FURTHER: That the City Clerk shall enter upon the record of the Council the results of said General Municipal Election and shall deliver to each person elected a certificate of election duly signed and authenticated by him and he shall impose the constitutional oath and have them subscribe thereon, whereupon they shall be inducted to the respective offices to which they have been elected.
