HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 686 RESOLUTION NO. 686 A RESOLUTION CANVASSING THE VOTE HELD MARCH 5, 1974 SARATOGA FIRE DISTRICT - TAX RATE MEASURE The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as follows: WHEREAS, a General Municipal Election was held in the City of Saratoga on Tuesday, the 5th day of March, 1974 and was conducted in form and manner as required by the laws of the State of California governing the election of General Law Cities, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, DETEEMINED AND DECLARED as follows: That in Precinct "6" being a consolidation of Precincts 4685, 4690, 4703, 4713; Precinct "7" being a consolidation of Precincts 4692, 4694, 4701 and 4723; Precinct "8" being consolidation of Precincts 4691, 4693 and 4706; Precinct "9" being a consolidation of Precincts 4689, 4714, 4715 and 4727; Precinct "10" being consoli- dation of Precincts 4687, 4688 and 4726; as established for holding State and County elections: That the following ballot measure was submitted to a vote of the voters by the Saratoga Fire Prevention District: Shall the proposed increase to $.70 (seventy ] cents) per $100.000 of assessed valuation in YES l~Q16. the maximum tax rates, such rate to be in effect in the Saratoga Fire Protection District NO .. 379 commencing in 1974-74 fiscal year, be authorized? That the whole number of votes cast was 1,395 , including ~ absentee ballots; that the number of "Yes" votes and the number of "No" votes cast in each precinct on said measure, together with the absentee votes, together with the whole number of votes which each received in the entire City as set forth in the attached Exhibit "~'. RESOLVED, therefore, that at the said General Municipal Election held in the City of Saratoga, March 5, 1974, said ballot measure was affirmed . RESOLVED FURTHER: That the City Clerk shall enter upon the record of the Council the results of said General Municipal Election and shall transmit a certified copy of this resolution to the Saratoga Fire Protection District.
