A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF ~E CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING
BERT RAWAK
WHEREAS, Bert Rawak has faithfully served as Saratoga's representative on
the San~a Clara Valley Water District North Central Zone Flood Control Advisory
C~ttee since his original appointment on June 8, 1964; and
WHEREAS, an orderly and balanced program of flood control works is necessary
for the preservation of lives and property of the people of Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS, the North Central Zone includes the cities of Campbell, Cupertino,
Los Gatos, Monte Sereno, portions of San Jose, Santa Clara and Saratoga, and
serves in an advisory capacity to the Santa Clara Valley Water District on flood
control projects contemplated for the various cities, as well as approving the
proposed annual budget; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga
does hereby regretfully accept the resignation of Bert Rawak as Saratoga's repre-
sentative to the Santa Clara Valley Water District North Central Zone Flood Control
Advisory Committee and does thank him for his years of selfless service.
The above and foregoing resolution was adopted' by the City Council of the City
of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of November , 1974, by
the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Brigham, Diridon, Kraus and Smith
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
