A RES~OLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING
RODNEY DIRIDON
WHEREAS, Councilman Rodney Diridon emerged victorious in his recent campaign
for the 4th District Supervisor's seat for Santa Clara County; and
WHEREAS, Councilman Diridon was elected to the City Council in April 1972,
and took an active interest in County-wide and Bay Area-wide organizations working
to further closer ties among governments and agencies, such a.s the Association
of Bay Area Governments and Santa Clara County Planning Policy Committee sub-
committee on Urban Development and Open Space; and
WHEREAS, during his tenure on the Council Mro Diridon brought a newness and
freshness to government by searching out innovative solutions to old problems,
and especially eschewing cliche's and outmoded approaches; and
WHEREAS, while all of the members of this City Council will feel the loss
of Mr. Diridon, we welcome the fact that he will be representing the interests
of a greater number of people on a wider variety of issues in a larger forum;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Ci6y Council of the City of Saratoga
does hereby congratulate Rodney Diridon on his election to the County Board of
Supervisors, sincerely thanks him for his contributions to the community, and
wishes him well in his new endeavors.
The above and foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the
City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 20th day of December ,
1974, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Brigham, Kraus, Corr & Matteoni
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
