HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 724 RESOLUTION NO. 724 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING CHARLES H. SMITH WHEREAS, Charles H. Smith has unstintingly devoted the past eight years of his life to the City of Saratoga through his service on the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Smith has left a profound impact upon the Commission and the individual Commissioners through his dedication to high standards of conduct and ethic throughout his tenure; and WHEREAS, he especially distinguished himself by his deep knowledge of the meaning and content of the ordinances, his insistence upon an adherence to the letter of the law, and his untiring attention to even the most routine matters; and WHEREAS, Commissioner Smith took an especial interest in subdivision work, and provided strong leadership and a continuity of application of the ordinances as head of the Subdivision Committee since 1968; and WHEREAS, he is one of those individuals who is responsible for helping to create a better Saratoga; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby extend its sincere appreciation to Charles H. Smith for his years of service to the cormnunity, and does hereby appoint him Advisor to the Subdivision Committee in recognition of his expertise and familiarity with this key phase of planning. The above and foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 5th day of March , 1975, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Brjdgea, Brlgham, Kraus, Corr & Matte~,.i NOES: None ABSENT: Notre MAYOR
