A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SARATOGA (ElMMENDING
TOM WILBERDING
WHEREAS, TOMW]LBE~RDING has served on the Parks and Recreation Commission
since his appointment by the City Council in August, 1971; and
WHEREAS, his tenure has spanned the era of burgeoning park development
through the design and construction of Wildwood Park (Phase I), Keyin Moran Park
(Phase I & I]), E1Quito Park, Gardiner Park and Brookglen Park; and
WHEREAS, Tom has headed the Parks and Recreation Commission as its chair-
man since May, 1973, and has provided a unique stabilizing influence on the
Commission's deliberations, and has further distinguished himself as a dedicated,
serious and thoughtful individual; and
WHEREAS, he has worked in the areas of Trails and Pathways, Bicycle Trails,
the Community Garden, the co-development of grass and field areas with the school
districts, and the City Park Ordinance while a member of the Commission;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Saratoga does hereby commend TOM WILBERDING for his years of service to the
community on the Parks and Recreation Commission, and wishes him well in his future
endeavors.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by the City
Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 19th day of
March, 1975, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilman Bridges, Brigham, Kraus, Corr, Matteoni
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
