RESOLUTION NO. 727
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
CONFIRMING CANVASS BY THE REGISTRAR OF VOTERS
OF SANTA CLARA COUNTY OF SPECIAL MUNICIPAL BOND ELECTION
WHEREAS, the Registrar of Voters of the County
of Santa Clara has duly canvassed the votes cast in the City
of Saratoga (hereinafter called the "City") at the special
muniqipal bond election consolidated with the Campbell
Union School District, Cupertino Union School District,
Moreland School District, Saratoga Union School District,
Los Gatos Joint Union High School District, Campbell
Union High School District, Fremont Union High School
District, West Valley Community College District
and Foothill CoMity College District Governing Board
Member Elections' held on March 4, 1975, in the City by the
electors of the City upon the measure hereinafter set forth,
and has certified to this City Council the result of the
votes cast at said election upon said measure, which said
certification is now on file in the office of the City Clerk
of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Saratoga as follows:
Section 1. The canvass of votes by said Registrar
of Voters as shown by said certification and the result
thereof is hereby confirmed and approved.
Section 2. At said election the following measure
for incurring bonded indebtedness was submitted to the elec-
tors of the City and the number of votes cast in the City
for and against said measure was as follows:

MEASURE: Shall the City

cur a bonded
indebtedness in the principal amount of
$1,200,000 for the acquisition, construc-
tion and completion of the following muni-
cipal improvement, to wit: A new public
library, including land, building, land-
scaping, site development and parking
facilities, together with furniture, fix-
tures, books and equipment therefor; and
other works, property 'or structures neces-
sary or convenient for a new public library

Section 3. The total number of votes cast in the
City at said special municipal bond election and the total
number of votes given in each precinct and by absentee voters
of the City for and against said measure was and is set forth
in said canvass and the attached Exhibit "A" .
Section 4. More than two-thirds (2/3}
of all of the votes cast at said special municipal bond
election on said Library Measure were in favor of
said measure and said measure passed -
Section 5. The City Clerk of the City is hereby
instructed to enter this resolution on the minutes of this
City Council as a statement of the result of said election.
PASSED AND ADOPTED March 19, 1975 by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Brigham, Kraus, Corr & Matteoni

of Saratoga, State of' California, do hereby certify that the
foregoing is a full, true and correct copy of a resolution
duly adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
of said City duly and regularly and legally held at the regular
meeting place thereof on the 19th day of March, 1975, of which
meeting all of the members of said City Council had due
notice and at which not less than a majority of the members
thereof were present and acted; that at said meeting said
resolution was introduced by Councilman Bridqes
and read in full and was thereupon, upon motion of Councilman

adopted by the following vote:

That I have carefully compared the same with the
original minutes of said meeting on file and of record in
my office; that said resolution is duly entered of record in
the minutes; that the foregoing is a full, true and correct
copy of the original resolution adopted at said meeting and
entered in said minutes; that said resolution has not been
amended, modified or rescinded since the date of its adoption
and that the same is now in full force and effect.
