HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 808 RESOLUTION NO. 808 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SARATOGA MODIFYING THE HAZARDOUS FIRE AREA MAPS WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga has adopted the 1973 Uniform Fire Code; and WHEREAS, the Fire Code defines hazardous fire area as "any land which is covered with grass, grain, brush or forest, whether pri- vately or publicly owned, which is so situated, or is of such inaccess- ible location, that a fire originating upon such land would present an abnormally difficult job of suppression or would result in great and unusual damage through fire or resulting erosion; and WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal of the County of Santa Clara has designated certain area of the City of Saratoga as hazardous fire area, being that particular area as shown on sheets 96,111, 125, and 126 of Santa Clara County cadastral planimetric maps, approved by the City Council on September 18, 1974; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, WHEREAS, the boundary line on Sheet 125 of said maps is modified to reflect changing conditions in said area since 1974; remaining a small area from said hazard fire area; that the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby adopts the hazardous fire area maps prepared by the ,~oun~I Fire Marshal and maintained in the County offices of the Environmental Management Agency.
