RESOLUTION OF T~E CITY OF SARATOGA AMENDING T~
CIRCULATION ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN BY ADDING
A MASTER TRAILS AND PATHWAYS PLAN
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga has identified as an objective of the
Circulation Element its General Plan a preparation of a revised Master Trails
Plan; and,
WHEREAS, ~he City of Saratoga upon completion of extensive studies has
caused to be prepared a revised Master Trails and Pathways Plan consistent with
the goals and policies of the General Plan; and,
WSEREAS, the City of Saratoga Planning Cor~nisston at a regular meeting
in accord with Gevermnent Section 65351 held a public hearing on April 27, 1977
in review of the revised Master Trails and Pathways Plan; and,
WI~REAS, the City of Saratoga Planning Commission on April 27, 1977
recommended to the City Council for adoption the Masters Trails and Pathways
Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saratoga meeting in accord with
Government Section 65355 held a public hearing on June 15, 1977 in review of the
Master Trails and Pathways Plan; and,
WHEREAS, after initial study conducted in accord with the Environmental
Quality Act of 1970 and Resolution Series 653, the Planning Director prepared a
draft of a putposed negative declaration for this project on the seventh day of
April, 1975 and noticed that such preparation was given in accord with CAC Section
15083 (D)
WHEREAS, on this fourth day of May, 1977 in appearing to this Council that
this project will not have significant affect on the environment and such proposed
negative declarations should be adopted,
NOW, T}mEEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Saratoga
as follows:
(1) The draft negative declaration for this project dated April 7, 1977
prepared by the Planning Director in accord with Resolution 653-3,
Section 2: (6)-(A) therefore, be and the same is hereby adopted, and
it is hereby directed that a copy thereof be attached to file with
a notice of determination, and
(2) The attached Master Trails and Pathways Plan (Exhibit A hereto) B and
same is hereby adopted and made a part of the Circulation Element of
the General Plan of the City of Saratoga, said General Plan is hereby
declared to be amended accordingly.
The above and foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and thereafter
passed and adopted by the Saratoga City Council on the ~___day of/~a_____,
1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Brigham, Corr, & Matteon~
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmen Kraus, Bridges
