HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 828 RESOLUTION NO. 828 A RESOLUTION FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE FROM PROPERTY TAXE, S NECESSARY FOR THE SUPPORT OF THE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CiTY OF SARATOGA FOR FISCAL YEAR 1977-78 AND TO PAY ANY BONDED OR OTHER INDEBTEDNESS OF THE CITY, AND FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE SUFFICIENT TO PAY THE ESTIMATED COSTS FOR SAID FISCAL YEAR FOR "SCL D'ISTR:I.CTi:I'', AZULE LIGHTING DISTRICT, QUITO LIGHTING DISTRICT, FREDERICKSBURG DRIVE PARK MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, MANOR DRIVE PARK MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, GREENBRIER PARK MAINTENANCE DISTRICT, AND THE VILLAGE PARKING DISTRICT NO. 1 The City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby resolve as follows: SECTION l: The sum of $463~9Q.0 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue from property'taxes necessary to support the departments of the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year and to pay an indebtedness of said City. SECTION 2: The sum of $7,475 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the costs of "SCL District 1" lighting districts within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year and all the lands exclusive of improvements within said district are..herebyassessed in said total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land exclusive of improvements bears to the total assessed valuation of all the lands exclusive of improvements, of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuation, exclusive of improvement. SECTION 3: The sum of $4,000 is h~rebyfixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the costs of "Azule Lighting District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all of the land exclusive of improvements within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land exclusive of improvements of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuation, exclusive of improvements. SECTION 4: The sum of $9,300 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the costs of "Quito Lighting District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all the lands exclusive of improvements within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited by the improvement of the furnishing of electric current and the maintenance of the street lighting system presently located in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land, exclusive of improvements, bears to the total assessed valuation of all the land, exclusive of improvements, of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuation, exclusive of improvements. SECTION 5: The sum of $200 is hereby fixed as the amount necessary to be raised to pay the cost of'"TF~'dericksburg Drive Park Maintenance District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all of the land and improvements within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum of each parcel hereby being declared to be Lenefited by the maintenance of the landscaping and appurtenances presently located in said d'strict, in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land and improvements of the en'~ire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels !n direct proportion to each's assessed valuation SECTION 6: The sum of $1,175 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the costs of "Greenbrier Park Maintenance District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all of the land and improvements within said district are hereby assessed in said total sum, each parcel hereby being declared to be benefited by the maintenance of the landscaping and appurtenances presently located in said district, in the proportion'that the assessed valuation of its land and improvements of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuation. SECTION 7: The sum of $610 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay"9"{he o>sts of "Manor Drive Park Maintenance District" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all of the land and improvements within said district are hereby being declared to be benefited by the maintenance of the landscaping and appurtenances presently located in said district, in the proportion that the assessed valuation of its land and improvements of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all of said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed va 1 uati o n. SECTION 8: The sum of $6,500 is hereby fixed as the amount of revenue necessary to be raised to pay the costs of "Village Parking Maintenance District No. 1" within the City of Saratoga for the current fiscal year, and all of the land and improvements within said district are hereby being declared to be benefited by the maintenance of the landscaping and appurtenances presently located 'in said district, in the proportion that the assessed v~luation of its land and improvements of the entire district, and said assessment shall be and is hereby prorated over all said parcels in direct proportion to each's assessed valuation. SECTION 9: This resolution shall become effective in~nediately upon its passage and adoption. The above and foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and passed thereafter and :.~opted at a regular ajourned meeting of the City Council of the ~ity of Saratoga held on the day of August, 1977, by the following vote: Councilmen Kraus, Corr, & Bridges Councilman Brigham ~': Counqilman Matteoni CITY CLERK
