A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING THE
BLUE RIBBON COMMITTEE FOR THE REVIEW OF GOVERNMENTAL SERVICES
WHEREAS, Bob Flora (Chairman), Gladys Armstrong (Vice-Chairman),
Jim Isaak, Jeff Kalb, Arnold Loe, Sally Price, Frank Rose and Bob
Rutherford contributed generously of their time in serving on the
Blue Ribbon Committee for the Review of Governmental Services; and
WHEREAS, said Committee fulfilled its charge in all particulars
through its review of the scope of existing services provided by
City government, its analysis of the City's revenue base, its
recommendations concerning services that should be financed directly
from the property tax, and its exploration of potential future financial
demands upon the City; and
WHEREAS, the Committee and each of its members were diligent in their
study and produced a final report that is concise, direct, readable,
and shorn of excess verbiage; and
WHEREAS, it is the feeling of this Council that each of the afore-
mentioned Committee members has exhibited a spirit of contribution
and selfless dedication that is characteristic of those Saratogans
who have served on other task forces and special committees for the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Saratgga does hereby thank the Blue Ribbon Committee for the
Review of Governmental Services for its efforts and contributions
in helping make Saratoga a better place to live.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at
a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on
the 7th day of S.~ptember, 1977, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Bridges, Brigham, Kraus, & Matteoni
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilwoman Corr
