RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DESTROY
USELESS RECORDS, AND SUPERSEDING RESOLUTION NO. 545
The City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby resolves as
follows:
Pursuant to Government Code Section 34090, approval is hereby
granted to the City Manager of the City of Saratoga to destroy any
City record, document, instrument or paper under his charge, which
is more than two (2) years old, and after the same is no longer
required, without making a copy thereof.
The within authorization does not authorize the destruction
of any records affecting title to real property or liens thereon,
court records, records required to be kept by statute, or the
minutes, ordinances or resolutions of the Council, Planning
Commission, or any City Board or Commission, or any documents which
are documents or records which otherwise are required by law to be
kept and maintained.
The above and foregoing resolution was regularly passed and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a meeting
thereof held on the 6th day of September , 1978, by the
following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Kraus, Matteoni, Corr, & Callon
NOES: Councilman Kalb
ABSENT: None
The undersigned City Attorney of the City of Saratoga hereby
consents to the City Manager of said City destroying any records in
accord with, and limited by the terms of, the above and foregoing
resolution.
