A Resolution of the City COuncil of the City of Saratoga
Commending Pamela Hook
WHEREAS, Pam Hook has served as a valuable employee of the County
Library System since 1969, successfully completing a number of difficult
assignments, ultimately leading to her appointment in September of
1973 as Regional Librarian for the Saratoga Libraries; and
WHEREAS, Pam has given freely of her time, talents and energies
in the development process of the new Saratoga Community Library, from
actively participating in the successful bond drive, going door to
door, adding her professional expertise in planning and designing the
internal arrangements of the new facility and establishing excellent
rapport between the Library and the City; and
WHEREAS, she has worked effectively with the Friends of the Saratoga
Library and members of the Library CommissiOn, serving as a member
of the Gift Committee to formulate policy and expedite acceptance of
gifts to the Library; and
WHEREAS, Pam is recognized as an extraordinarily hardworking,
patient and persistent manager, beloved by her staff and recognized
as an asset to the Saratoga Community;
NOW, THEEFOE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Saratoga does hereby extend its sincere thanks and appreciation to
Pamela Hook for the years of dedicated service she has contributed to
the County Library System and in particular to the Saratoga Community.
Passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Saratoga held on the 18th day of October , 1978 by
the following vote:
