RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COt3NCIL OF THE CITY
OF SARATOC.4k Nv[IM)ING THE CITY OF SARATOGA'S
S(XrI'HEAST DRaAN SERVIC~ ARE~ B(IJNDARY
NOW, THEREFORE, ~E IT RESOLVf~ by the City Council of the City
of Saratoga as follows:
SECTION 1: This resolution is adopted pursuant to Government
Code 54774.2, which allows a city to modify and/or change its
adopted Urban Service Area by resolution of its legislative
body.
SECTION 2: Attached hereto, marked "Exhibit A", and incor-
porated herein by reference is a map and legal description,
amending and revising the Urban Service Area of the City of
Saratoga, which map, and the revised Urban Service Area shown
thereon, is hereby adopted, and all prior resolutions to the
countrary are hereby superseded and repealed.
SECTION 3: Attached hereto, marked "Exhibit B", and incorporated
herein by reference are the findings made, mending and revising
the Urban Service Area of the City of Saratoga.
The above and foregoing resolution was duly and regularly passed
and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council held on the 7th day
of March, 1979 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Kraus, Corr, Callon, & Kalb
MDES: Councilman Matteoni
ABSENT: None

(Retracting Urban Service Area)
FIM)INGS:
1. That by retracting the Urban Service Area boundary, the City of
Saratoga can confore to the intent of the definition of Urban
Service Area.
2. That the City of Saratoga, by retracting its Urban Service Area,
would prohibit urban sprawl and encourage orderly development
within its Urban Service Area.
