HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 905 RESOLUTION NO. 905 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SALE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga, through it Director of Community services, has on hand certain surplus personal property which it deems to be for the common benefit to be disposed of as hereinafter set forth, NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AS FOLLOWS: The Director of Community Services is hereby authorized and directed to advertise for sale, and to sell, those certain items of personal property as listed in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and in accord with the terms and conditions as more particularly set forth in said exhibit, reserving to said Director the power and .authority= to reject any and all bids, and further reserving to said Director the power to abandon and dispose of such item or items of said personal property as to which there are no bids, at the conclusion of said bidding procedure. The above and foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and thereafter passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga on the 18th day of July, 1979, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmen Kraus, Matteoni & Callon NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmen Kalb & Corr .... MAYOR The City of Saratoga will conduct a public sale of certain items of surplus personal property to the highest bidder on the 28th day of August, 1979, in accord with the procedure hereafter set forth. All items will be on display from 9:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at the Saratoga Community Center, 19655 Allendale Avenue, Saratoga, California. Bids for the pur- chase of any item or items must be in writing and submitted on the form supplied by the City and must be received by the Director of Community Services of the City of Saratoga on or before 1 :O0 P.M. of said day. Any bids furnished after 1:00 P.M. shal 1 be disregarded. Bids will be opened commencing promptly at !:05 P.M. of said day, and subject to the reserved right of the City to reject any and all bids, will be sold only to the highest bidder. Acceptance of each bid shall constitute a contract with the City. Bidders awarded items must pay for each such item in cash within forty-eight (48) hours of the successful bid. All items will be sold in "as-is" condition, and without guaranty or warranty, express or implied.
