RESOLUTION 916
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SAP~TOGA CO~lliENDING
ROBERT 'f..lILLIS
lffiEREAS, Robert Willis is retiring as Department of Public
Works Street Maintenance Division Planning and Control Coordinator
for the City of Saratoga on September 14, 1979, which will
culminate 20 years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Bob has the distinction of serving the City longer
than any employee in the history of the City of Saratoga; and
T¡.ffiEREAS J during his tenure he has monitored and supervised
the maintenance of the street and storm drain systems of the
city while the street system grew from 40 miles to 103 miles,
and while its population gre,.] from 13,000 to over 30,000.
WHEPÆAS, Bob has used innovation in equipping the Street
Maintenance Division after having started with one hammer which
had a broken handle; and
WHEREAS, Bob will be remembered for his conscientiousness,
his responsiveness to the needs of others and his budget
consciousness;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Saratoga does hereby commend Robert Willis for the years
he has contributed to the Saratoga community in making this a
better place for all of us to live, and wishes him well in his
fu ture endeavors.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga
held on the 5th day of September, 1979, by the following vote:
