RESOLUTION NO. 924
RESOLUTION REQUESTING SERVICES OF COUNTY REGISTRAR
1980 GENERAL HUNICIPAL ELECTION AND SPECIAL ELECTION
APRIL 8, 1980
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga desires to avail itself of the services
of the County Registrar of Voters for the General Municipal Election and
Special Election in the City of Saratoga for the year 1980, and the City of
Saratoga deems it economical and satisfactory to request the same as
hereinafter set forth,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby
resolves as follows:
SECTION 1: Request is hereby made to the Board of Supervisors of
the County of Santa Clara to permit the County Registrar
of Voters to render the services hereinafter specified
to the City of Saratoga relating to the conduct of the
1980 General Municipal Election and Special Election.
SECTION 2: The City of Saratoga requests that the County Registrar
of Voters perform the following services required by law
for the conduct of the General Municipal Election for
and in the City of Saratoga:
(a) Preparation of precinct registration listing
Cb) Preparation of sample ballot inserts
(c) Preparation of indexes
Cd) Stuffing and mailing sample ballots
(e) Furnishing of sample ballot envelopes
SECTION 3: The City of Saratoga shall pay to the County of Santa
Clara the actual cost of said services, such payment
shall be made when all of the same are completed and
upon presentation to the City of Saratoga a properly
approved bill from the County.
SECTION 4: The City Clerk of the City of Saratoga is hereby author-
ized and directed to do any and all acts, including the
entering into any contract or contracts with the County
of Santa Clara as may be necessary, in order to carry out
the terms of this resolution.
The above and foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
thereafter passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council
of the City of Saratoga held on the 5th day of December 19.71.-,
by the following vote:
