RESOLUTION NO. 930
A RESOLUTION CO~1MENDING CHARLES F. EARLEY
WHEREAS, Charles F. Earley has served both the residents and the
City of Saratoga as a member of the Library Commission since its formation
in 1959, and
WHEREAS, Co!mnissioner Earley has given freely of his time, talents
and energies in the planning and development of the new Saratoga Community
Library; and
WHEREAS, Commissioner Earley worked diligently to ensure passage of
the first successful Saratoga Bond Issue for the construction of the new
Saratoga Community Library; and
WIIEREAS, Commissioner Earley has visited many libraries in other
communities in his efforts to gather information for the betterment of
the Saratoga Community Library; and
WItEREAS, Commissioner Earley is well known for "doing his homeworkfT
and thus performing an active leadership role in the work of the Library
Coú1mission over the last twenty ye~rs.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Saratoga does hereby extend its sincere thanks and appreciation
to Charles F. Earley for his dedicated services to the Saratoga Community
as a Library Commissioner.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the
5th day of December 1979 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmen Kraus, Corr & Callon
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilman Matteoni
