A RESOLUTION ENDORSING ABA'G POPULATIOr-:r PROJECTIONS 79
FOR THE CITY OF SARATOGA
WHEREAS, the General Assembly of the Association of Bay Area
Governments has adopted population projections for the Bay Area and its
counties and sewerage units; and
WHEREAS, ABAG's PROJECTIONS 79 is a consistently prepared set of
regional projections detailing the growth and distribution of population,
housing and employment throughout the Bay Area; and
WHEREAS, the projections are evaluated and updated on at least an
annual basis in consultation with local governments; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saratoga has reviewed
PROJECTIONS 79, ABAG's Guidelines for the Use of Projections, and the
sub-regional study area projections presented for information only in
PROJECTIONS 79;
Nm~,_THEREEORE, Bg IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City
of Saratoga endorses PROJECTIONS 79 for the City of Saratoga for planning
use, subject to provisions of the guidelines adopted byABAG to protect
the interests of local governments.
The above and foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council
of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 2nd day of
