RESOLUTION NO. 943
A Resolution of the City Council of the
City of Saratoga Requesting Permission for
Temporary Closure of State Highway 9 on April 26,
1980.
\.JHEREAS, the Saratoga Village ~1erchants Association is
sponsoring the Annual Saratoga Blossom Festival in the City of
Saratoga; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office has been
advised of the show and is planning to take the proper traffic
control measures to insure the safe and expeditious movement of
the traffic and oversee the safety of the participants of the
Blossom Festival; and
WHEREAS, this City Council did endorse the Saratoga Blossom
Festival last year and is now aware of the precautionary measures
that have been undertaken, and does sanction the Saratoga Blossom
Festival.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the
City of Saratoga does hereby request permission of the State
Department of Transportation to allow State Highway #9 (Big Basin
Way) to be closed and traffic to be detoured on April 26, 1980,
from approximately 12:00 noon until 6:00 p.m. between the junction
of State Highway #9; State Highway #85 and Sixth Street.
