RESOLUTION NO. 954
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SARATOGA REQUESTING PERMISSION
FOR TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF STATE
HIGHWAYS ON MAY 4, 1980
WHEREAS, the Saratoga Rotary Club has yearly sponsored the
Annual Rotary Club Art Show in the City of Saratoga; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office has been
advised of the art show and is planning to take the proper traffic
control measures to insure the safe and expeditious movement of
the traffic and oversee the safety of the participants in the art
show; and
WHEREAS, this City Council has annually endorsed the Rotary
Club Art Show and is aware of the precautionary measures that have
been undertaken, and does sanction the Saratoga Rotary Club Art
Show.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Saratoga does hereby request permission of the State
Department of Transportation to allow Big Basin Way (State Highway
9) to be closed and traffic to be detoured on May 4, 1980 from
approximately 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. between the junction of
Highway 9 and Highway 85 and Third Street,
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted
by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at the regular meet-
ing held on 16th day of April , 1980, by the following
vote:
AYES: Councilmen Callon, Clevenger, Mallory, Jensen
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
