RESOLUTION NO. 958
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING
HENRY J. KRAUS, JR.
WHEREAS, HENRY J, KRAUS, JR. has served the City of Saratoga
for more than eleven years, from August 12, 1968 to April 15, 1980;
and
WHEREAS, during that time he has unsparingly contributed
literally hundreds of hours of his life, capacity and affection to
the community by serving as a member of the Planning Commission, as
Chairman of the Saratoga Library Bond Committee, as a member of the
Hillside Committee, as a member of the City Council, serving as Vice
Mayor from 1974 to 1978 and as Mayor of Saratoga from 1978 to 1980; and
~{HEREAS, Hank has further woven his talents into the fabric
of this community by serving as Chairman of the Redwood District Boy
Scouts of America and as District Secretary for Kiwanis; and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that such outstanding
voluntary public service deserves special recognition and commendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of
the City of Saratoga does hereby bestow its deep appreciation, special
acknowledgement, commendation, and thanks to HENRY J. KRAUS, JR. for
his unsparing contribution of many years of exemplary public service
to the City of Saratoga and its residents.
The above and foregoing resolution was adopted by the City
Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 18th
day of June, 1980, by the following vote:
