HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 959 C,íQ! of ß aratoga n€~OL~tfI011 RESOLUTION NO. 959 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING MARGARET L. CORR WHEREAS, MARGARET L. CORR has served the City of Saratoga for a period of six years, from 1974 to 1980; and WHEREAS, during that time she has unsparingly contributed literally hundre~of hours of her life, capacity, and affection to the community by serving as a member of the City Council, and as Vice Mayor of Saratoga for two years from 1978 to 1980; and WHEREAS, Peggy has made an indelible contribution to the City and its residents by her service as Saratoga's delegate to the General Assembly of the Association of Bay Area Governments, as a member of the Advisory Committee for the County Water District North Central Flood Control Zone, as alternate City representative to the Sanitation District #4 Board of Directors and as a member of the Santa Clara County Criminal Justice Planning Board; and WHEREAS, her further dedicated efforts as a member of the Saratoga Senior Citizen Housing Task Force and service as City representative to the Urban County Housing and Community Development Council Committee has benefited the entire community, especially its elderly residents; and WHEREAS, the City Council feels that such outstanding, voluntary public service warrants special recognition and commendation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby render its deep appreciation, special recognition, commendation, and thanks to MARGARET L. CORR for her unsparing contribution of many years of exemplary public service to the City of Saratoga and its residents and wishes her well in her future civic endeavors. The above and foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 18th day of June, 1980, by the following vote: " ~.
