RESOLUTION NO. 960
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING
NORMAN E. MATTEONI
WHEREAS, NORMAN E. MATTEONI has rendered more than a
decade of service to the City of Saratoga, serving from 1969
to 1980; and
WHEREAS, during that time he has unsparingly contributed
literally hundreds of hours of his life, capacity, and affection
to the community by serving first as a member of the Saratoga
Parks and Recreation Commission, as a member of the Planning
Commission, and as a member of the City Council for six years,
from 1974 to 1980; and
WHEREAS, Norm has extended his civic participation
and involvement in this conmunity by serving as Chairman of the
Citizen Bikeways Advisory Committee, the Saratoga School District
Site'Utilization Committee and the Saratoga General Plan Review
Committee, furthering his commitment to maintain the City's quiet
residential environment while exercising fiscal conservation in
his decisions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council feels that such outstanding
volunary public service warrants special recognition and commendation;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council
of the City of Saratoga does hereby render its deep appreciation,
special acknowledgement, commendation, and thanks to NORMAN E. MATTEONI
for his unsparing contribution of many years of exemplary public
service to the City of Saratoga and its residents.
The above and foregoing resolution was adopied by the
City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held
on the 18th day of June, 1980, by the following vote:
AYES: Callon, Clevenger, Jensen, Mallory, Watson
