A Resolution of the City CoUncil of
The City of Saratoga Establishing The
Appropriations Limit for Fiscal Year
1980-81 Pursuant to Article XIII B of
the California State Constitution as
Implemented by Chapter 1205, 1980 Stat-
utes, Revenue and Taxation Code Section
79 10.
Whereas, Proposition 4 was adopted by voters on November 6,
1979 thereby adding Article XIII B of the California State
Cons titut ion,
Now, Therefore, Be It Resolved that the City Council of the
City of Saratoga hereby finds and determines:
1) The appropriations subject to limitation for the Fiscal
year 1978-79 totalled $2,829,258:
2) If Article XIII B had been in effect during Fiscal Year
1979-80 the appropriations subject to limitation would have
totalled $3,089,833 based a Consumer Price Index (C.P.I.) increase
of 10.17% and a City of Saratoga population decrease of 0.87%.
3) For computing the appropriations subject to limitation
for Fiscal Year 1980-81 the pertinent factors are: California
Per Capita Income Increase, 12.11%; City of Saratoga population
increase 1.53%; County of Santa Clara appropriations transfer to
City of Saratoga of $17,277 for Library funding.
4) The appropriations subject to limitation for the Fiscal
Year 1980-81 total $3,534,045.
Passed and adopted by the City Council of Saratoga this 23rd
day of June, 1981 by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Clevenger, Jensen, Mallory, Watson, Mayor Callon
