A RESOLUTION OF TP~ CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SARATOGA ACEAEMLFDGING EXECUTION OF JOINT EXERCISE
OF POWERS AGREEMENT AND O3OPERATION AGRRFMENT
PURSUANT TO TITLE I OF THE PDUSING AND ~ITY
DEVELOPPENT ACT OF 1974, AS AMEMD~
WHEREAS, in 1974 the United State Congress enacted the Housing and Comity
Development Act of 1974, herein called Act; and
WHFaEAS, TITLE I of the Act allc~ps Urban Counties to receive CCXN]n/nity
Devel~t Block 'Grants where such Counties enter into a Joint EXercise of Powers
.Agr~et and Cooperation Agreement with non-entitlement cities to qualify as an
Urban County applicant under the Act; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga wishes to enter into such an agreement with
the County of Santa Clara to qualify such County as an Urban County and to receive
Housing and Ommunity DeveloFment funds thereby;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RERDLVED, that the City of Saratoga approves the Joint
Exercise of Powers Agreement and Cooperation Agreement with the County of Santa
Clara for the FY 1982-85 program years;
HE IT [ITRPHER RERDLVED, that the Mayor is authorized to execute said Joint
Exercise of Powers Agreement and Cooperation Agreement on behalf of the City of
Saratoga.
The six)re and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 7th day of October, 1981,
by the following vote:
