RESOLUTION NO. 989
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
COMMENDING LISA M. VARNEY
WHEREAS, Lisa M. Varney was appointed to the Saratoga Parks and Recreation
Commission in Apri1 1980; and
..
WHEREAS, Miss Varney brought to the Commission eonsiderab1e experience in
park operations; and
WHEREAS, during Lisa's time on the Commission the p1ans and deve10pment for
Phase I of Congress Springs Parks were comp1eted; and
WHEREAS, Miss Varney provided input to the p1ans and deve10pment of the
group picnic area at Wi1dwood Park and Phase I II of E1 Quito Park; and
WHEREAS, Lisa provided guidence for, the restoration at Hakone Gardens;
THEREFORE 8E IT RESOLVED the City of Saratoga thanks Lisa for her contri-
bution to the community; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED the Counei1 extends best wishes to Lisa in her new
position with the National Park Service.
The above and foregoing reso1ution was passed and adopted at a regu1ar
meeting of the City Counci 1 on the 21st day of
