RESOLUTION NO. 998
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
COMMENDING DAVID WYAND
WHEREAS, David Wyand donated his time and talents to serve as a member of the
Saratoga Parks and Recreation Commission from October 1976 through December 1979; and
WHEREAS, during this time Commissioner Wyand served his community and its
residents in determining the planning and development of parks and trails; and
WHEREAS, Dave assisted the Commission with the plans for use of Azu1e Park and
the development of pathways for residents and children; and
WHEREAS, Mr, Wyand participated in the development of the Master Plan for Congress
Springs Park, the revision of the Master Plan and development of Phase II of E1 Quito
Park, and plans for Phase III of the Park; and
WHEREAS, he was vitally interested in the restoration of Hakone Gardens and
participated in the Hakone review cßmmittee that fostered initiation of the restoration;
and
WHEREAS, Dave provided valuable input to the Commission in the development of
Foothill Park, Historical Park, and plans for improvement at Wildwood Park;
THEREFORE be it RESOLVED the Saratoga City Council expresses thanks to David Wyand
for his untiring efforts to provide parks and trails for the use of residents of
Saratoga.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted by
Council at a regular meeting on the ~day of March
unanimous vote.
