HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 1084 RESOLUTION N0.1084 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF SARATOGA REQUIRING OFFER OF DEDICATION AND PRIVATE MAIN- TENANCE AGREEMENT ON NEW ROADS WITHIN THE NHR DISTRICT WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saratoga adopted a Specific Plan for the Western Hillsides on June 2, 1981 in conformance with Measure "A" which was approved by the citizens of Saratoga on Apri 1 10, 19 80, and WHEREAS, during the Specific Plan preceedings, the merits of privately maintained roads within all new developments were discussed, and WHEREAS, as a matter of policy, the City shall require an Offer of Dedication on all roads, but need not accept such offer unless the road is a major arterial or collector, and WHEREAS, all roads not accepted by the City shall be privately maintained NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Saratoga does hereby resolve that such Offers of Dedication will not be accepted unless the City finds that the roads in question are a main arterial or collector and that the benefits to be derived from the public outweigh the City's costs of maintenance of such roads. The above and foregoing resolution was adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a regular meeting held on the 27thday of April , 1982, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Clevenger, Jensen, Mallory, and Mayor Callon WOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Watson '~,.,?
