#4 for the past 30 years as the District's founding manager; and
WHEREAS, Steven H. Goodman has exhibited a high degree of public
responsibility and has performed the duties of Manager with proficiency
and enthusiasm; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Goodman has been a member of the California Water Pollution
Control Association since 1965 and was instrumental in the formation
of the Santa Clara Valley section of the Association; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Goodman has served the California Association as Secretary,
Treasurer, President, and Di.rector, and has also seryed as Federation
Director from 1974 to 1977; and
WHEREAS, he has been active in industry-related associations', including
the American Society of Civil Engineers, the American Society of
Testing and Materials, and the American Public Works Association; and
WHEREAS, in the course of'his duties he has worked to protect the quality
of water in the aquifers which are the source of drinking water for
Saratoga, thereby protecting the health of our residents.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that Steven H. Goodman is commended for
his faithful performance of his duties for many years; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Council of the City of Saratoga, on
behalf of all our residents, expresses appreciation and congratulates
Mr. Goodman on completion of thi'rty years of public service
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Saratoga City .Council on the 5th day of May,!982 ,
by unanimous vote:
