A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHING
A POLICY REGARDING COP~ISSIONER'S ABSENCES
WHEREAS, the City Council in reviewing the existing procedures
regarding attendance of appointed Commissioners at Regular and
Committee-of-the-Whole meetings directed staff to survey adjacent
cities, and
WHEREAS, after review of said report at a Committee-of-the-
Whole meeting and a regular meeting, the Council directed the
preparation of the following policy regarding attendance at Commission
meetings, and
WHEREAS, regular attendance is expected of commissioners in
order to properly discharge their sworn duties.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the following policy is
adopted effective immediately:
The Secretary of each City appointed Commission will
be required to maintain an accurate record of attendance
for all Commission meetings. Said report shall be
forwarded to the City Council every six (6) months. Based on
