HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2032 RESOLUTION NO. 2032 RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA COMMENDING JOHN TERRY WHEREAS, John Terry was appointed to the Parks and Recreation Commission in August of 1973, and WHEREAS, John Terry has completed nearly 10 years of service on the Parks and Recreation Commission, and WHEREAS, John Terry has served as both the Chairman and the Vice Chairman of the Parks and Recreation Commission, and WHEREAS, John Terry worked with diligence and concern toward the development and implementation of the Park Master Plan and the development of Azule Park, Brookglen Park, Central Park, Congress Springs Park, E1 Quito Park, Foothill Park, Cardiner Park, Hakone Garden, Historical Park, Keyin Moran Park and Wildwood Park, and WHEREAS, John Terry worked toward the realization of an official Trails and Pathways Program in Saratoga, and WHEREAS, his contributions and his concern for the public welfare are greatly appreciated by the City Council and the citizenry of Saratoga, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council to acknowledge publicly the appreciation that is owed Mr. Terry and the best wishes that are due him as he leaves the Parks and Recreation Commission. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Saratoga City Council extends their appreciation and heartily thanks John Terry for his years of service on the Parks and Recreation Commission and expresses the hope that he continues his concerned involvement in community affairs. The above and foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the City Council of the City of Saratoga at a Regular Meeting on the 2nd day of February, 1983 by unanimous vote.
