HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2056 RESOLUTION NO. 2056 COMMENDING STUDENTS, FACULTY, ADMINISTRATORS AND PARENTS OF REDWOOD JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL IN OONNECPION WITH THE RHONNA L. SMITH ~DICAL TRUST FUND WHEREAS, in the City of Saratoga resides Rhonna Smith, a twelve-year-old junior high school student in need of a heart-lung transplant, and WHEREAS, the students of ~ Junior High School in Saratoga have dedicated their time, talent and energy to the opening night performance of "Little Mary Sunshine," and WHEREAS, all proceeds from their efforts will be donated to the Rhonna Smith Medical Trust Fund, and WHEREAS, the teachers, especially Mr. Frank Inderbitzin and Mrs. Vickie Wyant; administrators, especially Gail Wasserman; and parents, especially Phyllis Meyercord and Gretchen Mellberg, of Redwood Junior High School, have encouraged students to participate in this unselfish endeavor. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga takes ~crfeat pleasure in smmnending the students, faculty, admini- strators and parents of Redd Junior High School for their generosity and dedicated efforts toward the medical trust fund for Rhonna L. Smith. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Comcil held on the 4th day of May, 1983, by the following vote: AYES: Counci~rs Clevenger, Fanelli, Mallory, Moyles and Mayor Callon NOES: None ABSENT: None ~ ~ city cl k G
