RESOLUTION NO. 2075

WHEREAS, the Saratoga Spirits soccer team has ~Dn the national championship
for under-19 girls at a meet last month in Chelmsford, Massachusetts, and
WHEREAS, the team was coached by Oscar Zagazeta through many challenging
games to a 44-4 season.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council congratulates
OSCAR ZAGAZETA
and the
SARATOGA SPIRITS
on their skill and tenacity throughout a long season and expresses the
pride of all our citizens at their acccmplis~ts in winning the
national championship for 1982-83.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 6th day of July , 1983,
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Callon, Clevenger, M~l lory and Mayor Moyles
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmenk~r Fanelli
