after fifteen years of public service; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Podgorsek has served the people of the entire Santa Clara Valley as
well as the citizens of the City of Cantobell~ and
WHEREAS, his activities in Campbell have included two years as a Park and Recreation
Ccnm~ssioner, thirteen years as a member of the Campbell City Council, including
three terms as Mayor; Chairman of the 1969 Campbell Parks Bond Campaign; Repre-
sentative to the Chamber of ~ce; Member of the Campbell Council Sign Com-
mittee; ard
WHEREAS, he h_~s also served the broader con~nunity by acting as a representative
to the Association of Bay Area Governments and its Executive Connittee; County
Sanitation District ~4; the County Water Advisory Committee; the HCD Council
Cc~mittee; Inter-City Council; LAFCO; the Santa Clara County Airport Land Use
Co~ttee; and Inter-Goverrmental Council; and
WHEREAS, the City of Saratoga is pleased to have the City of Campbell as one
of its good neighbors and recognizes Bill Podgorsek as one of those who has
helped to make it so.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
BILL PODGORSEK
is hereby ~ed and thanked for his service to the people of Santa Clara
County. The Saratoga City Council congratulates him on his retirement from
public service and wishes him much enjoyment and good fishing in the years
The ahDve and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting
of the Saratoga City Council held on the 19th day of October, 1983, by the
following vote:
