HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2130 RESOLUTION NO. 2130 CONCERNING YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK WHEREAS, the vast majority of the youth are concerned, knowledgeable and responsible citizens, and WHEREAS, the acccmplishments and achievements of these young citizens deserve recognition and praise of their elders, and WHEREAS, Optimist International has since 1954 developed and prGnoted a program entitled Youth Appreciation Week, and '"WHEREAS, the citizens of Saratoga have indicated a desire to join with the Optimists in expressing appreciation and approval of the contributions of the youth, I, David Moyles, Mayor, therefore proclaim the second week of November as Youth Appreciation Week in Saratoga. By this action, let it be known that we have faith in the ability of today' s youth as they assume responsible roles in the future of mankind. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 21st day of March, 1984, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Callon, Clevenger, Fanelli, Mallory and Mayor Moyles NOES: None ABSENT: None ABSTAIN: None Cit~
