HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2140 RESOLUTION NO. 2140 PROCLAIMING LAW ENFORCEMENT APPRECIATION WEEK AND COMMENDING THE EFFORTS OF THE SANTA CLARA COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPUTIES WHEREAS, the week of May 13-19, 1984, has been designated as Law Enforcement Appreciation Week, and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Saratoga wishes to recognize and acknowledge the law enforcement services to the City by the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Department, and WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the selfless dedication and commitment to public service by the deputies of the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Saratoga hereby joins other cities in the State in proclaiming Law Enforcement Appreciation Week, and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City Council encourages all Saratoga citizens to take note of the indispensable services provided by their deputies throughout the year, but especially during this week set aside for their recognition. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 2nd day of May , 1984, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Clevenger, Fanelli, Mallory and Mayor Moyles NOES: None ABSENT: Councilmember Callon ATTEST: City C'lerk ~/
