"Becky" Morgan has represented the City of Saratoga and its residents as part of the Fifth Supervisorial District since 1982; and WHEREAS, in that brief period of time the City Council members and residents of Saratoga have observed and appreciated Becky's deep commitment to public service, her concern for quality and excellence in government and her great skill in the political process; and WHEREAS, the City Council is particularly appreciative of Becky's ever vigilant and watchful eye on fiscal affairs, providing wise and strong leadership to the County of Santa Clara during its time of fiscal crisis and helping lead the County government into a more stable financial position; her support and help to the community of Saratoga in assuring a fair and objective handling of the fire district funding concerns; her leadership and drive in seeking to resolve the many transportation problems confronting the Santa Clara valley; and, her tireless efforts and insistence on establishing and maintaining open, frequent communications with the city governments in her district and her constituents. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the members of the Saratoga City Council hereby express their deep appreciation to Becky Morgan for her representation, support and assistance as Supervisor of the Fifth District, County of Santa Clara; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the members of the City Council congratulate Becky on her election to the California State Senate representing the Eleventh District of which the community of Saratoga is a part. The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular adjourned meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held on the 27th day of November , 1984, by the following vote: AYES: Councilmembers Clevenger, Hlava, Moyles and Mayor Fanelli.
