RESOLUTION NO. 2213
COMMENDING ROBERT G. EGAN AS CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Robert G. Egan has been named Citizen of the Year by the
Saratoga Chamber of Commerce, and
WHEREAS, Bob has earned this honor through his many years of
service to his community, and
WHEREAS, these useful activities include serving on the Rotary
Club Board of Directors for three years and administering the
Rotary Art Show in 1983, and
WHEREAS, he has also pa~'~icipated in many activities for his
church, his children's school, and youth sports leagues, and
WHEREAS, Bob has worked for the community at large by serving on
the'Board of Directors of the Chamber of Commerce and as Presi-
dent of the Chamber, successfully organizing many projects for
that body, and
WHEREAS, Bob is not only an organizer but also one who actually
pitches in and works to get the job done.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that
ROBERT G. EGAN,
as one of Saratoga's favorite and most deserving sons, is hereby
commended for his public spirit and willingness to give his time,
energy and creativity for the good of all Saratogans. Thank you,
Bob!
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 20th day
of February, 1985, by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Callon, Clevenger, Moyles and Mayor Fanelli
NOES: None
ABSENT: Councilmember Hlava
