HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2214WHERFAS, the national Canp Fire orqanizaticn will celebrate its 75th anniversary on March 17, 1985; and WHEREAS, Canp Fire has chosen to ccmmenorate this significant anniversary in'a nation-wide celebration of friendship; and WHEREAS, Canp F~e offers our youag people oppor~ties to develop important friendships through information educat/onal programs for youth to age twenty-one; and WHEREAS, as a friend of our ccnml/nity, Camp Fire is concerned with preserving the e~vironment, ad~pting to social change and the application of democratic standards, as well as a special concern for st/nRLlating and guiding young people; and WHERFAS, in Camp Fire, recognition of acccmplishnents is ccmbined with the encouragement to use developing skills to carry out that spirit of friendship to others in' the ~ity. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESC~VED, that the Santa Clara/Santa Cruz Counties Council of Canp Fire is'ccmmmded for the friendship its programs offer young people in the City of-Sarastoga.and throughout the nation, and for the many services these young people perform for their cormm/ni~es as Camp Fire members. The atxy~e and foregoing resolution w~s passed and adopted at a regular meeting of the City Council'of the City of Saratoga held on February 20, 1985, by the follf~ing vote: AYES: Counci~rs Callon, Clevenger, M0yles and Mayor Fanelli NOES: None ABSENT: Counci~ Hlava MA~ii)R, C~ty of Sazatc~a, California
