Resolution of the City Council of the City of Saratoga
Concerning National Nursing Hcme Week
WHEREAS, the lifetime achievements of our cc~ty citizens now residing
in nursing hunes have contributed to our collective welfare and inspired
our individual pursuits of excellence, and
WHEREAS, our cc~ty's nursing hcme residents are the sun and substance
of much that has made America great, and
WHEREAS, member facilities of the American Health Care Association and
the CalifOrnia'Association of Health Facilities are 'sponsoring many .activities
and events in' observance of National Nursing Hcme Week beginning Mother' s
Day, May 12, and continU/ng through May 18, and
WHEREAS, the thene of National Nursing Hcme week 1985 is Celebrate Lifetime
Achievements.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the week of May 12 through May 18,
1985, is declared as
NATICNAL NURSING HOME ~
and all residents of this ccnm~ty are urged to celebrate lifetime achievements
and participate in a denx]nstration of recognition, suptxDrt, encouragement
and 'appreciation for the high standard of care that our long-tenn care
facilities are providing.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a regular
meeting of the Saratoga City Council held on the 1st day of May, 1985,
by the following vote:
AYES: Councilmembers Callon, Clevenger, Hlava, Foyles and Mayor Fanelli
