RESOLUTION NO. 2283
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SARATOGA
DECLARING YOUTH APPRECIATION WEEK
WHEREAS, the vast majority of youth are concerned, knowledgeable
and responsible citizens, and
WHEREAS, the accomplishments and achievements of these young
citizens deserve recognition and praise of their elders, and
WHEREAS, the citizens of Saratoga have indicated a desire to join
with the Optimists in expressing appreciation and approval of the
contributions of youth.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Saratoga proclaims the second week of November as Youth
Appreciation Week in Saratoga. By this action, let it be known
that we have faith in the ability of today's youth as they assume
responsible roles in the future of mankind.
The above and foregoing resolution was passed and adopted at a
regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Saratoga held
on the 7th day of November, 1985, by the following vote:
